Currently Oregon's seventh poet laureate, Peter Sears has taught at Reed College and in the MFA program at Pacific University, served as Dean of Students at Bard College, and as community services director for the Oregon Arts Commission. He actively facilitates writing workshops through Portland-based Mountain Writers, in addition to independent workshops in Portland and Corvallis, Oregon.
